MxM was invited by the growing City of Bonney Lake to develop concept designs for four parks, including a new sports complex within a largely forested site immediately adjacent to the commercial core of the city.

Extensive community outreach events provided clear direction for the mix of activities that residents wished to have supported within this new park. Existing stormwater ponds are enhanced with new plantings and embraced with a multi-surface trail loop. Sport courts are clustered to minimize grading impacts and surrounded by mature trees. Meanwhile, a spray park plus restrooms and nature-based playground will be a valued destination for families across the seasons. Disc golf and extensive trails help make full use of the site, all while maintaining more than 26 acres of existing tree canopy cover.
