Our story

Our built environment and our civic environment seem to be on parallel tracks. From crumbling sidewalks to crumbling institutions, hostile architecture to hostile politics, unaffordable housing to unaffordable access to power, it is hard not to feel like our collective faith in a shared, durable, high-quality civic enterprise is an anachronism.

MxM’s work aims to counteract these trends, making virtuous cycles out of vicious ones.

Working with like-minded clients and collaborators, Brice Maryman and Scott Melbourne formed MxM Landscape Architecture with the purpose of creating enduring, highly-crafted landscapes that build a sense of civic trust, collective care, and reciprocal responsibility.
